Real Racing 3 for iOS has been updated to 2.0.2, and fixes the following issues:

• Players could not purchase VIP after a purchase failed
• Crash fixed when restoring from cloud data and then playing RTM.

Since these are the only things it seems to solve, I personally recommend staying on 2.0.1 if you use the GC mining bug, as this update doesn't add any new features, and should not greatly inhibit your RR3 experience. I think it highly likely the GC bug is patched, although someone will need to find out.
