Forza Racing Championship 2018

The 2018 edition of the Forza Racing Championship has been announced! Season 3 starts in April, but before then there will be an invitational competition on March 24. This time around, the season will consist of two series plus a World Championship. Each series runs for about two months after which there is a playoff over a weekend, while the WC will be held in London, England some time in October. The prize pool for each series is USD75,000. The top 24 from the two series will be invited to compete in the WC, where the prize pool is USD100,000.

Here's the calendar:
Series 1: April 2 to May 23
Series 1 playoffs: June 16-17, live in Seattle, WA, United States
Series 2: July 9 to August 29
Series 2 playoffs: September 29-30, live in Mexico City, Mexico
World Championship: October (final date TBA), live in London, English

There will also be live broadcasts on Mixer every other Wednesday during the FRC season. The FRC homepage will feature a Mixer player that lets you tune in.

Together with the FRC announcement, they also announced that the February update to FM7 will bring back the grid ordering feature from FM6, as well as a spectate option. According to the announcement, the spectate option will feature "improved camera transitions" and higher performance.

Registration is now open! If you'd like more info, read up on FRC in the announcement, or visit the FRC homepage. I'll also try to update this thread with more information as I learn about it.
