Trying one last time to use a mobile hotspot to download game assets. Monkeys ticket answer = no help, but “solved”.

Last few times I could surf the web but the game wouldn’t download those assets. All new versions both game and iOS back then.
This time, even the web isn’t working. Can anybody help? (Asking for a friend)

I’m having the following error on Safari (iPad Air connected to Android 7 phone via WiFi hotspot):
”Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found”

I already did: restart both devices, try it via Bluetooth, set up manual google DNS: 8.8.8.8, clear safari cookies, and reset all network config.

Now the next step would be update iOS from 11.x to 12, which brings me to a new question:

Did anybody using an older iDevice notice some improvement in performance after updating to iOS 12?
They’re saying 10 to 20% performance improvement, depending on the app. That would help us group F-ers to jump up to E or even D!
