Starting Online in RR2

I and I’m sure the other RR2 forum members here would love to see more racers moving over to RR2 and racing online in OMP.

One of the biggest challengers facing those who race in RR3 as they move online is that all of a sudden you and not racing Bots but real people.  Real people with real feelings and emotions.

So it takes a little adjustment after bashing the bots aside for so long and now having to recondition to racing with skill and endeavor but at the same time managing not to touch another car in a passing situation.

When you first come online it would be important to have a competitive car until you can build up a bank to afford one of the fastest cars.

There are 2 distinct levels in OMP. The 94HP class and the 125HP class.

The fastest car in the 94HP Class is the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS , a 92HP car in standard form but a 94HP car when upgraded.

The other cars which are very competitive in the 94HP class are the 2008 Sirocco R and the 2010 Volkswagen Golf R.

Be wary of getting the Nissan 370Z coupe which in standard form is 93 HP as for some reason this car is lobbed into the 125HP Class which makes for very slow and depressing driving against the other cars there.

The 125 HP class is where all the action is with the fastest car being the 1995 McLaren F1 GTR, a fantastic brute of a car. The only catch is that you can’t buy it, it is given to you as a reward when you have 100% finished everything in the career mode.

But don’t despair, there are plenty of good competitive cars you can race in OMP without this McLaren F1.

Try and save for the Lotus Evora type 124 or McLaren MP4 as a starting point in 125HP.

The three fastest cars aside from the F1 in this 125HP class are the Corvette CR.6, the BMW Z4 and the Nissan Mola Z. Any of these cars are capable of beating the F1’s. So try and save for one of these and really enjoy the competitiveness of OMP.

Remember always to be considerate of the other drivers as you are now racing against real people.

Good luck and I hope to see you online.
