If you can hear skidding noise from your tires in a Tournament Time Trial (where no competitors involved), is this always an indicator you are driving to fast or you are not on the best line?
I understand in some racing games skidding can be used for advantage but that in RR3 it should be a warning signal that maybe you need to break earlier or take a different path. RR3 is not perfect simulation so I assume skidding has no advantages.
I am only a Group C driver but would like to improve. I use Tilt B, with Steering Assist and Braking Assist on LOW and Traction Control ON.
Generally when I hear skid noises I try the track again, this time braking earlier, to run at a slower speed and / or using a better fitting driving line and I generally seem to achieve a slightly better lap time as a result.
Is this always the case in RR3, or are there some times in a TTT that skidding can perhaps be used to advantage?
