Earlier today while I was watching ads in RR3 I noticed that the gold helmet appeared on the Achievements button. I tapped it and scrolled to find the achievement for which I was being awarded the GC, both to claim the GC and to learn for which achievement it was. It was 50GC, for having played 2400 hours. But that was odd because I have ony watched ads in the past few days. Either there was a delay in processing the information, or the game was tallying time even when I had not been racing.

I later checked the Personnal Statistics, noted the Total Time Played, returned to the home screen and then returned to the PS again and noted the TTP again. The TTP had increased. The TTP represents the time that the game is open, not the time spent racing. That means that the TTP is a poor indicator of racing experience. It means also that it is possible to earn the Achievements for TTP merely by keeping the game open. That is (relatively) easy GC.
