I hope this is an appropriate topic for the forum.

I'm all Apple... phone, iPad, iMac, mini Mac, ApppleTV. I plan on staying with apple forever. However, there's a world out there that I know nothing about, i.e., the Android world. I want to buy an android-based tablet just to see what the differences are from an IOS-based device. Which leads me to ask if anyone would care to recommend a device. My only requirements are a fast processor, iPad mini size and hi-res. I'm not sure if I can get all that for under $300 but I can't see spending much more than that just to learn the android world. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
