427 Cobra Showcase Discount?

I upgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.3.5 on one of my devices to check it out. Since I had completed 1.1.2, the Cobra was already unlocked. Is there a trick to obtain a discount? I won't waste 180 gold on it.
