So I've found that when running the automatic the game often chooses the wrong gear causing what appears to be serious bogging of the engine in the wrong part of the power/torque band. I base this observation on the sound effects. My question is...does the game model that or is it just a sound effect? I'm too involved in maintaining my line and racing my opponents to study any affect.

If it is modelled or just a sound thing?
