for events like the marquis, speed rush tv, etc, if i used delorean to speed up repair, would it also cut short the time i have to complete the event?

also, what's the best way to dumb down bots in these events? i already tried full assist no repair super slow poke mode, but i'm still getting the fast bots. what am i doing wrong? 

i'm on android btw if that would make any difference
